Byron K Patrick,
CPA.CITP, MCSE 2003
|
|
Byron
started
his
career
in
the
accounting
industry
in
1999
as
both
a
public
accountant
and
an
administrator/manager/director
of
technology.
He
started
out
as a
staff
accountant
with
a
small
CPA
firm
in
Annapolis,
Maryland.
While
there
he
gained
experience
in
supporting
many
users
utilizing
a
remote
access
network,
specifically
a
centralized
Citrix
network.
From
there
he
moved
to a
regional
size
CPA
firm
in
Baltimore,
Maryland
where,
1
year
after
beginning
employment,
he
transitioned
from
accounting
staff
to
Director
of
Information
Technology.
As
Director,
Byron
led
an
IT
change
that
facilitated
the
growth
of
the
remote
office’s
and
a
remote
work
force
all
while
maintaining
a
centralized
IT
infrastructure
and
providing
high
level
of
support
for
all
users
in
the
firm.
This
design
and
implementation
established
his
team
as
an
industry
leader
for
the
use
of
technology
in
CPA
firms.
Byron’s
background
as
both
an
accountant
and
technologist
allows
him
great
insight
to
close
the
gap
that
typically
exists
between
CPA’s
needs
and
technology’s
ability
to
deliver
solutions
for
those
needs.
